Volunteer: Tellegacy program with a Meals on Wheels client

Our Tellegacy program aims to provide companionship and lunch for you and our isolated seniors. The program consists of meeting with a senior 8 times over a few months and gathering information about their lives; their history. COA staff will compile a book of collected stories and photos at the end of the sessions for the seniors and their loved ones to enjoy. Online training is included. All volunteers must have their own transportation to get to the client. 

ALL volunteers are required to complete the following before volunteering:

Registration Packet A cleared fingerprinting scan with Ameriprints. This is a FREE service. A copy of your driver's license and car insurance.

Over the years, the Adult Day Respite Program has helped many isolated seniors remain healthy, happy and connected with their community. We are looking for volunteers to help the Adult Day Respite Program Coordinator with participant activities, supervision, cleaning and meal service. The program meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am-2pm and volunteers commit to a once a week / 4 hour shift for at least 3 months. A background clearance from Department of Justice and FBI are mandatory and TB test are required.

Volunteer: Meals on Wheels driver Windsor

Our volunteers deliver meals to seniors in the mornings typically from 10-12pm .

Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors, providing a welfare check and a friendly "Hello!" Often times, you are the only visitor our senior has had that day. You will use your own car and are welcome to volunteer with a spouse, partner or friend. We do offer reimbursement for mileage if requested. You need to be able to lift 25lbs and get in and out of a car easily. You would be assigned to do 1 route a week and we are asking for a commitment of at least 6 months (vacations are fine).

ALL volunteers are required to complete the following before volunteering:
