Are you compassionate, a good listener, and eager to support others?
Join our Senior Peer Support Program and help older adults in Sonoma County who may be
feeling stressed, sad, or overwhelmed.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
✅ Provide friendly, one-on-one in-home support to seniors
✅ Offer encouragement and a listening ear for those facing emotional or mental health
challenges
✅ Help participants build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and find hope again

Volunteer: Tellegacy program with a Meals on Wheels client

Our Tellegacy program aims to provide companionship and lunch for you and our isolated seniors. The program consists of meeting with a senior 8 times over a few months and gathering information about their lives; their history. COA staff will compile a book of collected stories and photos at the end of the sessions for the seniors and their loved ones to enjoy. Online training is included. All volunteers must have their own transportation to get to the client. 

ALL volunteers are required to complete the following before volunteering:

Registration Packet A cleared fingerprinting scan with Ameriprints. This is a FREE service. A copy of your driver's license and car insurance.
